Be That As It May - America Is Strong

America! We live in a house of cards and our elected leaders are playing with fire. The voices of the American people are being ratcheted up to the level of sedition. America has become as a foreign entity. She is far removed from the proud days of our forefathers. And, in many ways, she is in a worse state than when they lived and scuffled and hustled to make sure there was a roof over our heads, food on our tables, clothes on our backs, and pride in our nation.

The pursuit of justice is becoming elusive. And, the more we talk about this upcoming election between Presidential nominees John McCain (R-AZ) and Barack Obama (D-IL), the more it gets worse and not better.

The more the candidates speak, the more we hear the public say that they don't understand what either of them stands for. And, the more we hear about any plans they might say they have put together to help the middle class, the more we have to ask who are they talking about? We are getting closer to being a classless society to let those with money tell it.

There is one thing that is missing. A Congress that is for the American people instead of one that is more attentive to the international affairs than the domestic ones. Who is keeping the store?! Why has our government locked us outside of the process, literally? We cannot communicate with our officials on the local, state, or federal levels unless we have an issue strong enough that it will get their names in the daily news.

Their telephones are automated. Their email is automated. Their snail mail is heavily regulated. Their buildings and offices are guarded. And, their responses are automated to express their regrets that they are unable to be of assistance. And forget about trying to put in any emergency requests.

Do we ever need hope and change? What difference does it make if we hear from those Presidential candidates while our nation is in a crisis mode? There is only one constitutional President at the time in a four-year (4) term, and the legislators are to work with that President until the end of the term in a bipartisan basis. Instead, this nation has been under relentless assault by the Democratic Party. Particularly since 2000 A.D., they have tried to usurp the power of the Office of the President and have created a hybrid government. Even now, the Obama campaign and the DEMS have plans to effectively destroy the U.S. constitution and set up their ongoing coalition movement in conjunction with the United Nations to govern America "from the bottom up instead of from the top down," if he is elected as President. Their respect for this nation and for the Office and for its authority is nil. And, if Obama is not experienced enough to lead and govern this great nation without first calling together his millions of tiny groups to back him up, then he is not fit to get near to the Oval Office, White House, or the keys to the defense file cabinets and the secret codes.

Let's be honest! If that is what has happened, then it is the truth and it is without defense. This nation needs a leader who will build us up -- not tear us down every chance they get or to hold secret meetings with foreign governments with the only intent to run America down to make themselves look good.

The Office of President of the United States is to be highly prized and not to be glibly turned over into the hands of just anybody based on a whim of either their race or gender. Character counts. And, contrary to many news reports, the majority of Americans are not interested in having a President who looks good on magazine covers and sounds good on TV programs. Leave all of that to Hollywood and let Hollywood leave the governing to tried and trustworthy leaders who are fully prepared for that job for the benefit of all the American people.

Ever since President George W. Bush was elected as President in 2000, he and we have been inundated with one verbal assault after another if not from the DEMS then from the news media who were looking for a way to increase their advertising revenues and viewerships.

Throughout all these past years of his leadership, we have been told that "Bush lied and people died."

We have been told that he started the war in Iraq to avenge his father, the former President George Herbert Walker Bush, because as they said he didn't finish the job when he sent troops into Kuwait to beat back Saddam Hussein's army. But the way I recall it, that was when the American people and, particularly, the news pundits, were telling him to not go all the way to Baghdad. So he pulled the troops out and kept them in Kuwait before bringing them back home. Job well done.

Then, after the 2000 election was held, we heard the DEMS say that President G.W.Bush had stolen that election from Vice President Al Gore, because the courts ruled in his favor. As I recall it, Gore took the matter into the judicial system and, thereafter, every recount made in Florida during that time came out in favor of Bush. And throughout the whole world anybody who could get near a television set watched all day and all night while that process unfolded before our eyes until the final pronouncement and then Bush was legally sworn into office.

Even today, we are still apt to hear the DEMS say that former Vice President Al Gore had won that 2000 election. The legislators even publicly called Bush "the President Select," instead of the President Elect. And they continued their same mistaken belief following the 2004 election, when Senator John Kerry was the Democratic Presidential nominee who lost to the incumbent President Bush. We have heard it over again from the DEMS that he had stolen that election, also.

Then the press carried out their vilest, unethical plan when they began to publish military papers and some secret plans which were leaked but should have been kept under wraps during the deployment of our troops while they were in harm's way all over the world but, especially in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting the war on terror.

The press and the DEMS and all who support their uncivil activities which have been designed to bring down this nation --- they are traitors to the cause of democracy. And America will never be healed if they cannot see their part in helping our nation to crumble.

The election process in America has been harmed but not by the average citizen who knows the difference between patriotism and the ongoing failure to see that America and her values and traditions are protected.

The parties and leaders need to come together for the sake of Americans and not for the sake of enhancing their individual and collective standards which are against what this nation has stood for over two centuries, which is an orderly and respectful process of governance.

Even when President G.W. Bush kept his oath to protect, preserve, and defend this nation from all enemies foreign and domestic, the legislators refused to do the people's business, such has been their hatred of this President of the United States.

A lesser man would have folded his tent and gone home, but President Bush kept to his task at hand to see that America remained strong during his watch. If that is so, then why are we in the predicament we find ourselves in today?

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Too many leaders who don't have all the information that the sitting President and his cabinet have continue to conjecture and surmise and blame what is not, in fact, even the case. And, even if it were, then surely at a time of war not of our own making, there needed to have been prudent care taken to dispense the news without the venom and partisanship which have been interjected in the reporting.

Call in the dogs. Call them off.

Our men and women are not at war fighting on the battlefield or else lying dead in their graves for all of this rancoring at home and abroad. That is the hell of it. And that is the crux of our ongoing problems. And, if illegal immigrants and Islamists here and across the globe understand the flaws that have seeped into the fabric of what has made America great, then why cannot the leadership and the American citizens understand that we do have Godly societal standards as a nation?

News Reporters used to be called journalists. Now too many journalists want to be the news makers rather than to report the news. And, without a doubt, America is on the losing end. But Americans have proved time and again that we are not losers.

In the near future, if the news syndicates would relinquish their hold on the jobs which the elected and appointed officials are supposed to be doing, then we just might begin to see this nation's return to its grander days.
