Tea Party, Annapolis, MD, April 15, 2009.
UPDATED !!! UPDATED !!! UPDATED !!!
I am pleased to tell you that I attended the subject tea party on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at the dock. This was not about having tea and biscuits. Attendees were as serious about their purpose as were our forefathers at the Boston Harbor centuries ago when they protested what became known as a problem with "Taxation without representation."COME AND ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL PIC I TOOK, ALSO. Peace.
I am so glad I went to the Annapolis, MD tea party. It rained and was windy and cold but close to 2,000 people showed up to let their voices mingle with others and sharing the same concerns shouted across this nation. These people came from all around our state (MD) and, some came from out of town. And, yet, we moved among one another as though we were neighbors. And, in fact, we were. Go Maryland!
I went to Annapolis alone but I quickly made some new friends as we waited for the shuttle bus to take us to the dock location. New-found friendships to stand with and to enjoy the occasion. This event is only the beginning of Americans who love this country coming together for the sake of America beyond race, gender, affiliations, denominations despite the skepticism which was repeatedly expressed by many of the main stream media, some politicians, and pundits, too, before the vehicles and various other modes of transportation actually starting rolling. And, now they know. Americans love God, country, freedom and constitutional rights more than any appointed or elected leader who believes we are weak enough to be manipulated into giving all of that up in blind obedience to them! Wrong! Go Americans!!
I am still overwhelmed by that gathering and basking in the wonderful fellowship. And, I am looking forward to attending even more that are planned for the coming months. Meanwhile, Twitter away. Follow me. Also Follow me at Twitter and listen to my DJ music programming. See you there!
I am publishing some photos that I took at that rainy-day event which was so full of sunshine, peace, joy, love. Although I do not have their names or contact information, I give special thanks to those who gave me permission to photograph them and to use their images on my VOICE INK NEWS COMMENTARY site. MAY I SHARE AGAIN?
