SPILLING INK!
This a.m. rainy day. I saw a beautiful, white dainty butterfly (or is it a moth?). It looked like linen spread out on the green leaf in my garden. It made me smile. I took the pictures for all to see. And I hope it makes your day a lot brighter. Thanks, GOD!Pictures taken by Rev. Lainie Dowell.
Summer is at hand. It is the time when most folk come alive and begin to plan their life around bright, sunshiny days. Smiles come easily. Tempers ease. Temptations likely take hold. Freedom takes full sway. Gaiety comes along and swoops up souls and carries them along on the joys of a brand new day. Looking forward and taking aim at the fullness of joy set forth by a loving Father God for His child(ren). And all of these things come to fruition for those who walk in the righteousness of God.
The mantra for the times has become, "Nobody is perfect." Politicians have taken hold of a brand new excuse for not striving towards excellence. Yet, excuse it remains and that, without credence. For no one really wants to remain the same. If that were so, there would be none in leadership -- and whether legitimate or illegitimate -- Americans are astute enough to discern to know the difference. Shouldn't we expect excellence and the cream of the crop to oversee the things of earth which make for a better homeland? Most Americans say, "Yes!" Still, they are ignored and pushed aside. And, as a result, America -- our "Sweet land of liberty. Of Thee I sing. . ." slides into degradation before our eyes in the same way that many of Barack Obama's real homelands and those of his less than the best picks have deteriorated (i.e., Nairobi, Kenya, Africa; Jakarta, Indonesia; Pakistan; Palestine; Middle East and wherever they have set their feet.
America is not now and never will be prepared to live in a Banana Republic where corrupt leaders, themselves, approve of corrupt followers to obey their every whim in order to keep the people in line.
May our God look upon us and by His mercy and love wipe away the cruelest among us from the face of this earth. For God will always send relief to His beloved in the midst of the vilest storms of life. In God is our greatest Hope, His Son, Jesus. And in Him, through Him, with Him, and by Him, we His own children, have victory. For none is able to erase His likeness from the face of this earth, which shall cry from the dust even we shall become -- "Hell and Damnation await your fate who has caused this thing to be. And even our children and grandchildren shall fully rest upon your own graves who had thought yourselves to be not only above God but God Himself.
This started out to be a picture of a beautiful sight I saw in the rainy day. But may it be encouragement to Christians who love God and know His voice from that of Satan to not be deceived by him and his imps. Confess the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the ONE and only Savior, Lord, and soon-coming King. Do not be ashamed of the Gospel message. Do not put down your sword, which is the Holy Bible, Scriptures, Word of the Living God. Do not be intimidated into being fearful of even saying the name, Jesus. It is "the name above every name that is named." Do not fear to pray in His name, for that is the seal of God's approval upon that which is prayed. Do not allow any perverted mind to name you who are in Christ. Whether called conservative, right wing, or any other name but Christian, all must know you stand decisively for the Lord without apology, compromise, vain disputations, or fear.
Mankind cannot even save himself. What makes such a mind believe they can save a whole world based on their own puny minds? God have mercy on such fools as they!
And like the beautiful, white creature that sits upon a green leaf among so many, so shall we sit and watch in silence to see all these things come to pass. And so it is, in Jesus' name. Amen.
