COMMENTARY

I don't believe that too many could watch those Memorial ceremonies held Tuesday, November 10, 2009, in tribute to our murdered and injured military and nonmilitary at Fort Hood, Texas, and remain without tears. We know that Obama can show emotion, because he sure did rev up those campaign groups he tried hard to convince he was going to govern straight down the political middle for the good of all Americans in a "bipartisan" way. However, we have yet to witness the fruition of that promise since his election and his ensuing inauguration on January 20, 2009, a scant ten months ago.
American warriors will cry even when their Commander-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, refuses to do so, not even in his heart. Once again, his message of comfort he delivered to the military and the nation came through the mouth of a man with a hollow heart and unfeeling eyes. Consequently, his words did not ring true. They sounded forth but without touching. As Obama's manner has been, so it remains. And the question must be asked, "Did Obama show up at Fort Hood merely to say that he and his wife, Michelle, had attended in an official capacity?" All I saw were two empty vessels walking around in a wide sea of tears oblivious to the pain others suffered. When I watched the TV and saw our military men and women (including those wounded in the attack) give their last salute to the fallen while even they fought hard to hold back their tears -- many to no avail, my own heart broke and the tears fell down my face. Americans cry when we hear the National Anthemn, so how could we who have a heart for America not help but shed tears on behalf of the injured, the fallen, the ones who had escaped injuries and death, and the ones they all hold dear?
Perhaps it would be unreasonable for citizens to expect any leader of our military to shed tears in front of his troops and the nation, but I don't believe it would be too much to expect to hear a word of comfort coming from an empathetic heart of leadership. Lord knows Obama has also lost a lot of his close relatives since we have known him, but he presents as a person with no heart for this nation or for any of those warriors who have voluntarily served our nation with pride to help keep this land free. Former Presidents have spoken on such occasions and Americans all felt their hearts beyond mere words to know they, too, were grieving.
Fort Hood, Texas, and the Islamic Enemy Within the Ranks
Major Nidal Malik Hasan was wearing the uniform of the American military. He was serving in the position of a trusted military mental health professional. He enjoyed having the privilege of supping with so many of America's brightest and finest. And he still secretly planned and perpetrated his horrendous actions against those who trusted him, which left many unsuspecting and innocent bystanders dead and wounded on the grounds of one of the largest defense bases we have on American soil. Many of those who were attacked had no idea who attacked them or why.
What happened at Fort Hood should remind all of us that there is so much left for this nation to do to combat even the infestation of homegrown terrorists walking among us. For, it does none of us (civilian or military) any good to ignore even the tiniest warning signals of threats made against this nation, whether overt or covert. Indeed, this was not the first such attack on our military from within their own ranks. It also does not bode well for those in leadership to discount such reports of suspicion and to try to discredit the ones who felt the need to make such reports known to the people who are in positions to at least investigate such accusations and then followup with any appropriate responses to resolve them.
It appears that Hasan, the perpetrator who caused that premature memorial service to be called to order at Fort Hood, Texas, was known beforehand to both Barack and Michelle Obama and many of the people in their governmental employ, particularly in the Department of Health and Human Services, as one of their advisers. Why haven't the news media reported much of anything about that relationship (if any)? And have the military requested an assessment from the Obama's about their knowledge of Hasan (if any)?
Former President and Commander-in-Chief, George W. Bush, and the War on Terror
We are forever reminded that the ongoing war on terror had its detractors almost from the start. Former President George W. Bush announced this war would take place following the attack on America after the Islamic terrorists flew airplanes into the Twin Towers in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., and after a lone plane crashed in a Pennsylvania field also carrying terrorists and reportedly headed for Washington, D.C. government buildings. Hundreds of thousands of people from America and around the world were unexpectedly caught up in all of that devastation. And, before the smoke cleared, without hesitation President Bush recognized those innocents had been murdered and some were injured by terrorists who entered onto American soil and, on September 11, 2001, carried out those heinous acts.
Many American patriots and members of the joint Congress of the United States had willingly responded to Bush's rallying cry through a megaphone in the midst of still burning and smoldering embers. At the same time, however, he had opponents who fought against the Bush policy he put forth to go after "the ones who knocked down those buildings...." Under Bush's watch as their Commander-in-Chief, the military succeeded with their mission to bring down terrorists in Iraq and, with them, the dictator and now hanged and deceased Saddam Hussein. Even so, the DEMs mocked the military and taunted President Bush for having displayed the banner announcing "Mission Accomplished" on the top of the battleship where he reached out to them.
The DEMs failed to understand that hanging banner was valid and the military had reason to celebrate that accomplishment. Instead, DEMs denigrated and tried to demoralize our troops! They failed to understand that the military had indeed accomplished their mission they set out to do. The military knows that when they are deployed they have a clear mission and orders in hand. And they know they could trust their Commander-in-Chief to give them everything they need to get that job done. But, of course, how could many of their opponents have known that, because they were never in the military and have no idea how they operate.
In 2001, many of the U.S. Congressional democrat members scoffed at the designated name (i.e., "War on Terror"). At that time, Barack Obama was serving in the Illinois state Senate; and, subsequently, he served in the U.S. Senate. Obama publicly joined other elected officials and fought against approving the number of troops or the funding of the war Bush had budgeted to meet their materiel and physical needs for warfare on foreign battlefields. Obama also joined in to attack the Bush Administration as being incompetent. He also helped to encourage citizens to call for Bush to be impeached all throughout his eight-year Presidency. Now in 2009, even though Bush served admirably his elected terms of office and worked to keep America safe, Obama and the DEMs have not stopped voicing such adverse sentiments against him.
Obama constantly stands to publicly complain about America's many failings and about what he calls, "the mess he inherited," from the previous administration. In fact, Obama knew there was such a thing as "terrorists," Osama Bin Ladin, and the oncoming war against America, because he was closely aligned with President Bill Clinton during his terms in office and his wife, Hillary Clinton. Obama helped to get Bill elected as President in the early 1990s. Yet, Obama and the DEMs feigned ignorance and did all they could to make the American people believe that "terror" was something that President Bush had just made up out of whole cloth.
That kind of Saul Alinskyesque deception is Obama's trademark and he has been so good at it for so many years, that he has become a teacher and advocate of that concept. Ask ACORN and so many others of their many partnerships formed to snatch America out from under us. But, that kind of unprofessional deception is not what Americans are used to having to confront on a daily basis coming directly from the White House. Obama has proved himself to be untrustworthy. He needs to be impeached but he seems to believe his ill-gotten billions of dollars and millions of his personal coalition and lobbyists will be able to keep him in the Office of President in perpetuity. Don't scoff! Investigate.
Once A Muslim Always A Muslim Is More Than A Little Diddy
Former U.S. Senator* Barack Obama now sits in the White House Oval Office as U.S. President and Commander-in-chief. During the 2008 Presidential Election Campaign, he fought hard to not be seen as a Muslim. He even approved construction of a website, "Fight the Smears," to counteract any such charges made against him. He vehemently disavowed any connection to the Muslim faith claiming to be Christian despite his published autobiographies in which he had written about his personal experiences as the child of a Kenyan Black Muslim father and as the stepchild of an Indonesian Muslim stepfather. Nevertheless, Obama and his political allies went so far as to label as liars anybody who tried to expose the truth about him. Despite verifiable documentation, news outlets joined in to lambaste the persons who dared to expose Obama and his ongoing socialist agenda for America.
Barack Obama and his long-time friend, U.S. Congressman Keith Ellison, a Muslim, know that the Islamic faith and Sharia Law dictate that anybody who has been indoctrinated into Islam is forever such and they can have no other allegiances to any other nation or God but Allah. What's more the adherents are taught that everyone else is the enemy of Islam and worthy of death. Nevertheless, we have such adherents who are now privy to state secrets (U.S. Congress) and the President who is in control of America's defenses and every aspect of our well being. Is there any wonder that so many people are confused and conflicted about how they should respond to Obama who occupies such an honored position in this nation?
Is there any wonder that Americans are conflicted? How do we honor the position of honor when the person in that position presents as being less than honorable and trustworthy and goes along without giving any indication of ever striving to become such?
How can Barack Obama continue to claim that he is a loyal citizen worthy of the nation's trust to have such a critical responsibility when he has personally said and done so much to the contrary which causes us to question his motives and agendas clearly designed to lead to the impending destruction of our constitution and democratic Republic with its representative form of government? And we know that Obama is aware of it, himself being the chief planner of it.
How can so much overwhelming evidence continue to be overlooked by the people who are, themselves, in elected positions of trust to be the checks and balance of any branch of government which is out of alignment with the U.S. Constitution and our Founding Fathers?
How will our government ensure that our military and their families will not be further devastated by their own leaders in place to help them but, instead, are hurting them; and they have nobody with whom they can trust to seek redress?
How much time will the U.S. Congress, the Justice Department, and any other appropriate government offices devote to opening and investigating all military suicides to ensure family members and themselves that everything has been done to help support them in their time of vulnerability and need?
The News Media Are Not the Military
The news media are not the military and have to recognize their own misguided role in all of this political warfare on the homefront. They cannot second guess warfare tactics and strategies. They cannot attempt to direct battles when they do not have any idea of what it means to be military. Most of all, too many of the news media are not journalists. They are pundits and commentators. Many do not investigate even reports that come over the AP and other news wires. They just rip off the pages or have somebody else do that and they go in front of the TV cameras and either read what is on the torn paper or else leave some of the reports on the cutting room floor.
TV and radio commentators do so much damage by trying to influence public opinion. And they work even harder to influence public policy by conducting less than objective reporting. Americans are becoming bedraggled and are turning this way and that to try to find somebody -- anybody -- who will not sugar coat the news that we desperately need to have or make up their own for the sake of entertaining the viewers to rack up ratings for their networks.
Any time our elected leaders and military are walking around wondering out loud what happened to cause the Fort Hood massacre, Americans need to step up and open up and speak out for this government to stop the war against us and reinstate real people in front of a bank of telephones in their offices to take our calls and give productive responses to our queries. We cannot get in touch with anybody any more. They have locked individual Americans out of the representative process. They have made themselves a closed society within themselves only taking care of their own and leaving constituents outside to fend for themselves.
More Americans than not love this nation! They are proud to be a part of the great history and progress which has kept all of us in good stead with our God and nation. Events of recent years are teaching us that perhaps we have been too trusting of our elected leaders and professionals in many helping disciplines. As a result, it appears that so many of the elected leaders have deceived themselves into believing that citizens need them to control every aspect of our lives, because they are the superiors. All who believe in this way must be weeded out of the local, state, and national leadership all across this country. We have to begin now to work towards getting all of them out of government and leadership where such attitudes do so much harm and do not work to better conditions of life for those they have taken an oath to serve.
Americans, your weeping time is over! Fight on!
