In 2008, we now find ourselves as a nation, face-to-face with a seriously looming, large budgetary deficit which had been threatening to break not only our own domestic economy but also now threatens the global economies, as well. And, when the government demands $700B (that is billion with a capital B) of taxpayer money to be paid out to bailout Wall Street and that amount is also said to be just a start to address the severe financial problems, then it is time for Americans to call out the jailers and for a whole lot of people found to be responsible to be headed out for somebody's jailhouse and no bailouts.
A scant few weeks ago, President George W. Bush abruptly and excitedly rushed before the TV cameras to warn the nation that taxpayers were being forced to immediately pay $700B to bail out Wall Street or else we would all suffer from the overall downfall of our nation's economic structure. But the government later changed that terminology from "bailout" to label it as a "recovery," following so many outcries from citizens who objected to (1) having to make such a large payment in the first place; and, (2) having that large payment to become what they viewed to be welfare to failed corporations instead of making those corporate giants pay for their own business mismanagement.
Many economists have come forward to put forth various avenues to get around this economic crisis which has inflicted itself upon America and around the whole world. But, as simplistic as it may now sound, it takes the kind of national leadership which is honest and trustworthy and true to uphold the vows they took "to protect, preserve, and defend Americans" in accordance with the Constitutional dictates which have held America in good stead for over two centuries.
The more America flows away from its foundation, the weaker she becomes, the more Americans will be the loser. And what we are witnessing is the blatant disregard of too many elected leaders who for too long have continued to operate with sleight-of-hand and under-the-table tactics to secretly enrich their own coffers despite the Congress having passed ethics reforms to negate such political activities in their midst. However, it appears one hand was washing the other and nobody wanted to hold anybody accountable until and unless a scandal festered to national news proportions.
When we see these same kinds of underhanded tactics employed during the 2008 Presidential campaign, particularly among the Obama faction, this is all the more reason to take into consideration why American citizens need to rise up and call a decisive halt to the 2008 Presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama and his V.P. running mate, Sen. Joe Biden.
Based upon Obama's public and private records, and as evidenced from the outset, he would never be able to fulfil that mandated vow he took in order to take his place at the table in the halls of congress much less to be able to serve in the Oval Office at the Presidential level.
In a current, unrelated TV advertisement, even former Sen. McGovern admits that "Democracy is not something to be sacrificed."
The Americans of old know what to do, but without a government that is committed to holding officials accountable, how do we stop a runaway train when the conductor refuses to force the intruder to relinquish his seat and move out of the way of the controls, preferring instead to allow him to continue to run this train into the side of a mountain of debt and off a crumbling cliff?
Be that as it may, this is America and we have no intention of allowing this train to be derailed.
The train and its conductor, the Constitution of the United States, already have in place measures to protect it and everybody else who is onboard. And, therefore, there is no earthly reason why the government should have chosen the course it did, instead of offering to put up bailout taxpayer dollars for the likes of all those who had loaded the train up with enough pork and unnecessary legislation to run it into the throes of destruction.
The United States Congress must be held accountable for its part in failing to avert this oncoming train wreck. And everybody and all of their helpers need to be put on trial and carted off to jail. That would be little more than right in view of one of the largest crimes perpetrated on the American taxpayers at the hands of all those who were entrusted to take the switch and lead us safely on into and through this brand new century.

Abstract: The foibles of Obama have been festering for a very long time and he has an ongoing mandate from hundreds and hundreds of partnerships to bring them to power with him and forge ahead into taking back the White House for the Democratic Party, at any cost. Whether or not Obama is able to live up to that heretofore unannounced commitment will depend on how closely Americans are paying attention.
