Subject: Oprah - Personally Renounce Sen. Barack Obama Now As the 2008 Democrat Candidate for U.S. President
Dear Oprah:
You have proudly stated many times that your Mentor, Poet Maya Angelou, taught you that, "When somebody shows you who they are, believe them."
During the 2008 Presidential primary campaign, Ms. Angelou endorsed and supported Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) in her bid for the Office of President. However, you endorsed and supported Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) in his bid for the same office. And, it is because of your personal intervention that he has grown confident while still remaining incompetent and inexperienced as contender for that elected office.
Despite his protestations to the contrary, he publicly reveals himself to be a man who lacks personal integrity, trustworthiness, or faith of any kind. Many of his past and current associates have been uncovered with questionable, not-so-hidden agendas harmful to America and, as a result, Sen. Obama has had to publicly renounce them and denounce their radical agendas in order to salvage his bid for the Presidency.
Do you now realize that Sen. Obama is not the black man for this time or season? And, will you also set the same example as your Mentor and publicly renounce Sen. Obama based on his demonstrated disregard for truth and trustworthiness?
Your candidate is hardpressed to be recognized as either Christian or Muslim. He professes to be Christian while consenting to legalizing abortions and perverse homosexual lifestyles of every ilk. He has also brazenly denied, on a video he made and distributed, that there is any such faith as Christian.
Sen. Obama continues to deny his connection to Islam despite having written books in which he has given a full account of his childhood, in which he included his years of involvement with personal study of the Qur'an and the tenets of Islam. If that remark was made up, then it originated with him and remains the basis for much debate, confusion, and rancor across this nation and around the world.
Sen. Obama was either less than truthful when he wrote about his childhood in his books for reasons known only to him which he refuses to disclose or else he has told the truth about his Muslim faith but later regretted that time in his life and is either ashamed or afraid to admit it as any man of integrity would do. These are not qualities Americans would knowingly expect or accept from any proposed elected leader of the free western world. Moreover, he would not be able to set any example worthy of emulation by men, women, or children -- not now or in years to come. He has also made a habit of refuting prior statements he had made about himself and his plans for America.
It has been said that we are known by the company we keep. Would you knowingly continue to allow your association with Sen. Obama to undo all the good you have tried to do throughout your many years of service to the community and the world?
He may have deceived you from the start; but, by now, you have had more than sufficient time to take a closer look at Sen. Obama and realize that, just as you publicly sat down for a talk with James Frey, the author whose book you promoted but later found out he had duped you, that it is now time to publicly cut loose your candidate, Sen. Obama. With Frey, you almost lost your bookclub, good name, and integrity.
With Sen. Barack Obama, you are more than likely to lose your audience, good name, and integrity by the November 2008 General Election. I welcome your earnest response. Thank you.
